Nicolas Nyssen is pursuing a joint-PhD at the University of Paris (supervised by Prof. Olivia Reinaud) and at the Université libre de Bruxelles (under the direction of Prof. Ivan Jabin). Within the calixDNA project, Nicolas is involved in the synthesis of the series of generation Zero supramolecular biomimetic binders (calixarenes derivatives and the corresponding metal complexes).
Ivona Krošl is a PhD student at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, supervised by dr. sc. Ivo Piantanida. She is involved in the calixDNA project by mentoring students (Ena Otković and Corentin Thouzé) through the study of noncovalent interactions between supramolecular biomimetic binders of the zero generation (genZ SBBs) and polynucleotide chains, by variety of spectroscopic methods.
