Physical Chemistry division colloquium
CalixDNA project was presented by its principal investigator, dr. sc. Aleksandar Višnjevac, to the fellow scientists of the Ruđer Bošković Institute at the Physical Chemistry Division Colloquium held in the Blue Room of the Ruđer Bošković Institute on May, 27th, 2022 at 12:00. The presentation was held on invitation from the division head, dr. sc. Borislav Kovačević.
calixDNA PRESENTED AT THE NATIONAL TV NETWORK HRT1
calixDNA project was presented to the widest audience in Croatia by the well known science&technology dedicated TV show “Prometej” which was broadcasted on 4th od June, 2022 at 2:30 PM at HRT1. The cameras of the HRT entered the Laboratory of Chemical and Biological Crystallograhy and Laboratory for biomolecular interactions and spectroscopy at the Ruđer Bošković Institute to get an insight into the research process within the calixDNA project. The project was presented by its head, dr. sc. Aleksandar Višnjevac, and particular research activities by dr. sc. Ivana Nikšić-Franjić, Malorie Wallet and Marine Legrass, team members.

After acceptance of our publication Impact of positive charge and ring-size on the interactions of calixarenes with DNA, RNA and nucleotides, by Ivona Krošl, Ena Otković, Ivana Nikšić-Franjić, Benoit Colasson, Olivia Reinaud, Aleksandar Višnjevac and Ivo Piantanida [New Journal of Chemistry (2022) No. 15, 6860 – 6869], we have been invited by the editor of the New Journal of Chemistry to submit an artwork for the cover page of the Issue 15 (2022) of the journal. On that occasion, on May 2nd, 2022, PR office of the Ruđer Bošković Institute launched series of posts at the website and social networks. Aleksandar Višnjevac, Ivana Nikšić-Franjić, Malorie Wallet and Marine Legras spoke for the Prometej, a weekly Croatian National TV show on science, new ideas and inovation (Prometej, HRT1, 04/06/2022 at 2:30 PM).
